The name Kōrero comes from the Māori language and means "to speak, converse, or communicate." It reflects our belief that language is more than words - it's about building confidence, creating meaningful connections, and communicating with purpose. Our logo combines two meaningful symbols. At its heart is the koru, a traditional Māori design inspired by the unfurling silver fern. The koru represents new beginnings, growth, learning, and lifelong development - values that are at the heart of every learner's journey. The koru is thoughtfully shaped within a speech bubble, symbolising conversation, communication, and the power of language to connect people from different cultures and backgrounds. The logo is finished in the iridescent colours of pāua, one of New Zealand's most treasured natural treasures. The vibrant blues, greens, and purples reflect the beauty of Aotearoa New Zealand while also representing the three values that guide Kōrero English: Confidence. Connection. Communication.
